Wassail Song
Like souling and caroling, (even the more sonorous
of trick-or-treating), wassailing can involve a
merry band of people going door-to-door and singing
from porch-steps. (Though some go a-wassailing to
the orchard where they can serenade the
trees.) Fortifying such merriment may be a supply
of cider, punch, mulled wine, or spicy ale.
